This version of xmailbox is modified so the SndComm program can access the
mailbox file. I used this to make a speaking version of xmailbox. The script
'ugotmail' (written in python) is used to call the speech synthesis program
(with the form say 'words'). i'm using now rsynth-2.0

install steps:

1. compile xmailbox
2. install python
3. install rsynth-2.0 or another program for synthesis
4. put in you Xresource file: 
   *mailSndComm: /usr/local/bin/ugotmail

that's all.
